Lovely food friendly staff worth a visit
Ordered a coffee and 1/2 cider, waited 10 minutes+ for coffee, when I went back and asked if it would be much longer, was informed that it had been taken to another table! Stayed here 2-3 years ago was a lovely pub with good service, today absolutely rubbish, will not go back.
Sadly I feel the food let them down, my vegetarian lasagna was very dry and more like pastry than pasta. Sadly it was the only vegetarian option on the list for main meal. At 12 it wasn't cheap either.
Really impressed, the rooms where clean and comfortable, bathroom was up to date. Good heating, a little too hot for me but opened the windows and that soon sorted it.Evening meal was excellent, really tasty, not many veggie options, but what there was was tasty. Had a cooked breakfast as well wich was also really good.The staff were really pleasant and friendly, the owner was behind the bar and extremely helpful if I needed anything. Would recommend highly
Super meal. It was busy on a Sunday lunchtime, but the staff were very polite and were happy to serve us.Took our order at the table and the food was served promptly.
