Manager very friendly, restaurant area very nice, views over the river. Menu choice good but actual food mediocre, nice but have had better. Service a little slow but all waiters/waitresses very friendly, drinks over priced (6.10 for one coke and one lemonade)
Lovely pub with high quality rooms and excellent food. Friendly staff and easy walk into Totnes. Definitely recommend.
No communication as we walked in so we were unsure where to sit, I politely asked the man at the bar who then asked for our IDs at lunch time and was very rude clearly because we were younger (18) than other customers. He bluntly told us to sit down so we walked through to the nice seating area before being told the only table available was the one in front of him which he could have easily told us. We left and didn't buy any food after that experience, definitley will not be going back.
Fab place to grab a bite to eat and a drink. Can't beat a pint of Dragon's Tooth personally. Food's so good we have booked to have our Christmas day here. Nice covered and heated outdoors patio with a pleasant waterfront aspect. Highly recommended.
2 of us were upgraded to a spacious family room. Beautifully fitted out with so much attention to detail. Fantastic view over the river and very handy pick up point for Dart river boat trips. Evening meal was exceptional. Big breakfast was really well cooked with many choices. I prefer my eggs poached. "No problem" superb service and all this from a pub. We loved it
