Been going to Rumour for years, they have a great menu with local produce. Never had a bad meal here, good wine selection and lovely atmosphere. Always busy, it's worth booking a table.
Good food and nice cosy atmosphere. I had heard very good things about the pizzas and I wasn't disappointed. Two members of my party had burgers which they said were excellent too. The only downside was that they do re-sit the tables and you have a limited time at the table. I was told about this when I booked the table. I just felt a bit rushed to finish our desserts because the next group were waiting.

This is usually the first place that we recommend people to go out to eat in Totnes. The food is a much higher standard than the prices would suggest, and the atmosphere is down to earth and relaxed. Great choice of wines (Sharpham dart valley reserve for a superb local white), a few decent beers on tap too - New Lion Pandit IPA is recommended. Booking is normally essential as it gets super busy. Make your own pizzas. Otherwise not amazing for vegan options but they are always accommodating in making changes that dont ruin the dish.
Good steak and chips for two with a bottle of house wine all for 30. The wine isn't great. But they do a lovely Muscat dessert wine at 20 a bottle. My only qualm was that we didn't feel very welcome, in fact it was as though they were doing us a favour by letting us have a table. Service was efficient though.
