I like this restaurants food. The menu is good, there is plenty of choice including many vegetarian options, and the South indian cuisine using pepper and other spices for heat rather than chilli has a better flavour and complexity to it than most Indian food (which is mostly northern or Pakistani). One minus is how do you justify 6 (OK 5.98) a pint if you order in halfs for beer which is 4.60 In pint measures. This nonsense to punish sensible drinking by drivers etc. Is just not acceptable.

I do not normally write reviews but was inspired to on this occasion. We had a takeaway from Kerala Totnes. Although it did take a long time to arrive the food was excellent. Probably some of the best Indian I have ever had, everything was cooked and spiced perfectly and the meat melted in the mouth.....Very highly recommended!
I came here three days running whilst staying in Totnes on holiday. I kept coming back because there was a great selection of dishes I hadn't had back in my home county of Essex. The waiter was very helpful and friendly and keen to suggest choices on the menu. The curries were tasty and served promptly. Prices were standard.
