We searched the net to find a fine quality beeswax polish to use on our antique bureau which had been in my wifes family from new "just over 100 years".After reading many reviews we chose the Gilboys double beeswax pack as it had everything that we would need to do the job.We followed the Gilboys Youtube video which helped us achieve an amazing finish which brought our tired old bureau back to life.This is a First Class polish that does exactly what it says on the tin. The secret was not to buff the wax immediately after applying it.We let it stand for around an hour and the results were excellent.5 stars for a First Class Polish.
I've been waxing antique furniture for years using our native Bri Wax. Gilroy's blows it away. It's a very dense wax so you don't feel like you're flying through it when waxing. Also, it glides on but what really stood out is just how easy it was to buff! Some waxes require so much work but not this product and the shine is outstanding!! I'm a permanent customer and to Simon and the Gilboy's team, if Annie Sloan can sell her paint all over the US then y'all can do the same. Stunning packaging; total class! Bravo to THIS company!
Quite the best polish that I have ever found. After formerly spending over 50 years in the antiques business, I have experience of many polishes and restorers. Gilboy's polish, if used exactly according to instructions, produces a fine finish which is very long lasting and does not show finger marks etc and any spills are easily polished out with a soft duster. The free sweet pea seeds are excellent too and the service and advice is friendly and helpful.
Called into Gilboys workshop today to collect my hall table - which has been beautifully restored to its former glory. The staff were very helpful and professional, I was even treated to a sneaky peak of the Gilboys Gold wax being made! The smell was amazing! Will definitely be back soon to explore the showroom properly it looks like it is full of hidden treasures. Thank you.
