The most friendly, efficient and professional practice I have ever been to.My Dentist Simon Poyner went above and beyond to help me due to medical complications. And the staff have always accommodated me, sometimes at short notice.Highly recommended to anyone.
Following a lifetime of real fear of the dentist, although I attended regularly I had real concern each time I went. I went to see James Critchley as I had a tooth drop out, he diagnosed some extensive treatment which would involve several appointments, I agreed, wholeheartedly, as I realised this would be a vast improvement. On each visit James put me at ease and with his care I relaxed and was able to complete the course of treatment. I now have a perfect smile and do this often! I am so grateful, and no longer fear the dentist. Thank you so much James
"JAMES CRITCHLEY" - Quoted, Im NOT JUST A CLEANING MONKEY! When i was booked to have a check up & clean. Im 30wks pregnant & have one of the normal complaints associated with pregnancy,Bleeding gums! Im a hairdresser & know about personal hygiene & keep up with my regular checks. This is my first NHS dentist in Totnes.I was asked by Mr Critchley how things were getting on- I replied- "Really well but im having bleeding gum problems & feel like a Dracula! I was appalled at his ego quoting twice that im not just a cleaning monkey but that -" SOME PREGNANT WOMAN DONT GET BLEEDING GUM AT ALL!" & this was his approach of diagnoses before being seated,relationship between client care & confidentiality & looking in ones mouth! I was ashamed to be spoken to like this & quite hurt as i left that clinic unseen, & misunderstood or rather JUDGED! My teeth did not bleed when brushing this morning But i would NEVER go back to be spoken to like that by someone whos being payed a hansom wage,to in fact be a CLEANING MONKEY!!! or sorry is that a Hygienist ! at a mere 48!
